Ron's RV7 Aircraft Factory

Welcome to my personal blog. This site was created as an informal description of my build progress in the construction of a Van's RV7 aircraft. A place where family/friends/builders/curiosity seekers can follow along. It is not intended to be a detailed description of every step in the building process as that would be much too time consuming. There are plenty of sites that do a great job in that arena, that is not my intention with this site. My intention is for this to be a philisophical/motivational/inspirational account of the emotional ups and downs of the life changing journey...and it will change your life. I hope this will give you an idea, through my eyes, of what its like to make this transformation. A note to other builders, I am not an expert so do not put your safety at risk by attempting anything you see on this site until you have done your own research, or send me an email so we can discuss it. Any deviations from the plans are not approved, nor endorsed by Van's Aircraft or myself. Thanks for visiting.

Custom Canopy Cover HOBBS 2098.5 hrs

Last year at OSH, I visited Bruce's custom covers and liked their product line, their canopy covers are popular with the RV crowd and I could see why. It looked like a good product for a fair price. I received a 10% offer in the mail from them last month and decided now was as good a time as any to order my canopy cover....10% isn't much, but it's better than nothing.

The standard color they offer is a silver gray but you can choose from a wide variety of colors. I chose to go with one from their list, "Logo Red" (there is an upcharge for custom colors), with black trim. In place of the N-number I chose to go with the airplane name instead, with the same text font as my seats.

After receiving it, I was pleased...it is a nice cover, looks sturdy, well built. Color is nice and the name appears to be a heavy duty, durable, silkscreen (not embroidered). The customer service was good--responsive and helpful. Delivery took a couple weeks, probably a little longer because it was custom, so I thought this was reasonable. I would recommend them for your business if you are looking for a canopy cover.  Wablosa will be well protected and look great on the ramp.
